Earache

Earache

Earache is pain or discomfort in or around the ear. It can happen for several reasons, such as:

  • Ear infections: This is the most common cause, often due to bacteria or viruses.
  • Wax buildup: Too much earwax can block the ear and cause pain.
  • Injury: Scratching the inside of the ear or exposure to loud sounds can cause an earache.
  • Sinus infections or colds: These can lead to pressure in the ear, causing pain.

Earaches can feel like a sharp, dull, or throbbing pain. They are more common in children but can happen to anyone. Most earaches go away on their own, but if the pain is severe or lasts more than a few days, it’s a good idea to see a doctor.
