Ear lavage

Ear lavage, also called ear irrigation, is a procedure to clean out the ear by removing earwax or debris. It involves gently flushing the ear with water or a saline solution to clear out the wax buildup.

It’s often done when:

• Too much earwax is blocking the ear and causing problems like hearing loss or discomfort.
• There’s dirt or debris stuck inside the ear.
