Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)

Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)

A UTI, or urinary tract infection, is an infection in any part of the urinary system, which includes the kidneys, bladder, ureters, and urethra. It usually happens when bacteria enter the urinary tract.

Common symptoms of a UTI include:

  • A strong urge to pee often, even if little comes out
  • Burning sensation when you urinate
  • Cloudy or strong-smelling urine
  • Pelvic pain or discomfort
  • Feeling tired or shaky

UTIs are more common in women but can affect anyone. They can often be treated easily with antibiotics, but it’s important to see a doctor if you think you have one. Drinking plenty of water can also help flush out the bacteria.
